Step-by-Step Guide: Creating a Blog Category

  1. Go to Website > Blogs & News in your SoCast dashboard.
  2. In the Categories table on the right, click the Add Category button.
  3. Fill out the category details:
    1. Title: Enter the name of the blog or sub-category (e.g., "John's Blog").
    2. Description: Optionally, add a short description for the blog.
    3. Parent: If this is a sub-category, select the parent blog. Otherwise, choose None.
    4. Header HTML: Add HTML code to be inserted into the header of all blog/news articles in this category. Use this for custom designs or sponsored ad code.
    5. Footer HTML: Add HTML code to be inserted into the footer of all blog/news articles in this category. Use this for custom designs or analytics code.
    6. Syndication: Select other stations you’d like to share this category with. Note: Syndication allows users from other accounts within your company to add your blog/news category to their website. Users of syndicated categories cannot modify your blogs.
  4. Click the Add Category button to save your new category.
