How Do Categories and Tags Work for Syndicated Content in SoCast?

The Categories & Tags page lets you manage general settings that affect posts syndicated from any feed, unless those settings are explicitly overridden for an individual feed.

Managing Categories and Tags

1. To make changes for a specific feed or blog category (rather than all feeds), use the dropdown at the top of the page to select the desired feed.
2. The settings you configure here will apply to all feeds syndicated to your station (the feeds you have added under Sources), unless you have selected a specific feed as described above.
3. In most cases, these settings do not need to be changed. They should only be edited by a website or company administrator.
4. Most options on this page are straightforward. If you have any questions, please contact the support desk for assistance.
5. Pay special attention to the Unmatched Categories option and the Categories section below, as these are the most important settings on this page.
