The Content Discovery element helps you showcase blog posts and stories on your website. Follow the steps below to configure the Content Discovery widget in SoCast.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Widget Name: Enter a name for the widget as it will appear in the Drag-and-Drop Editor. This name is for internal use only and will not be displayed on your website.
  2. Display Title Bar: Choose whether to display the title bar by selecting Yes or No from the dropdown menu.
  3. Data Type: Select which posts you want to display in the widget. Options include Latest, Top Stories, or Trending. Note: Top Stories is limited to the most recent 100 posts.
  4. Blog/News Category: Choose the blog category you want to display in the Content Discovery widget. To select multiple categories, hold the Ctrl key while clicking (Command on Mac).
  5. Image: Choose either No Image or Thumbnail. Custom image sizes can be set up in Settings > Blog & News > Lists. Story titles appear to the right of default thumbnails and below custom image sizes.
  6. Show Publish Date: Decide whether to display the publish date on blogs in the Content Discovery widget. Choose Show or Don't Show.
  7. Items to Display Per Page: Set the number of items to display per page. This number should be a multiple of 5.
  8. Allow Multiple Pages: Select Yes to display a paginator if there are more items than the set number per page. Select No to disable pagination.
