Overview

The Full Page Ad Slot is designed to be minimally disruptive while still providing the impact advertisers need. The ad scrolls away with the page, so it does not require a close button or a timed close. We do not recommend ads that take over the entire experience and require users to close them manually, as this disrupts the user experience and may cause visitors to leave your website.

Designing creative and sizing for a full page ad can be challenging. To achieve a true "full screen" effect, you need to design ads that work across various screen sizes and resolutions (mobile, tablet, desktop). Each device has slightly different dimensions, resulting in many possible combinations. Within Google Ad Manager, we recommend using the "native ad" type within a "fluid layout." Alternatively, you can design the ad in two sizes—one for mobile and one for desktop/tablet—and let Google Ad Manager choose which to display.

Step-By-Step Guide

  1. Widget Title: Enter the name of the widget. The widget title appears in WP Bakery for reference.
  2. Page Contains Sidebar: Use the drop-down menu to select whether the page you are adding the widget to contains a sidebar.
    • The full page ad appears where this widget is inserted within the page.
    • If a sidebar is selected in the theme settings for the ‘Sidebar Above Full Page Ad’ option, that sidebar appears above the full page ad.
    • If no sidebar is selected above the full page ad, the body content on this page appears at full width.
    • The sidebar assigned to this page, or the default sidebar for the website, appears below the full page ad.
    • If set to 'No' but the page does contain a sidebar, the sidebar may be cut off by the full page ad.
  3. Extra Class Name: If you wish to style this content element differently, use this field to add a class name and then refer to it in your CSS file.
