This guide explains how to create and customize headings and titles using the 'Header Text' element or widget in SoCast. Headings are commonly used to organize sections on a page, such as "Breaking News" or "Social Media." You can also configure custom font styles, colors, borders, and more.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Go to: https://admin.socastsrm.com/website/headings
- To create a header text style for a Title, click Enable under Use Custom Style.
- To create a header text style for a Heading, click Enable under Use Custom Style. You can create up to three custom heading styles.
- After enabling, fill in the required theme settings for the Title or Heading.
- Font: Select a font from the drop-down menu. This defaults to the "Font" setting in your theme settings.
- Font Size: Choose a font size (e.g., 24px, 1.5em, 125%). Leave blank to use the default theme heading styles.
- Font Color: Use the color wheel to select a font hex color. This inherits from the 'Default Text Color' in theme settings. Set to 'inherit' to use the default color.
- Font Alignment: Choose the font alignment (left, center, or right) from the drop-down menu.
- Header Background Color: Use the color wheel to select a background hex color. The default is transparent. Set to 'transparent' to use the default color.
- Header Border Style: Select a border style (none, solid, dotted, or dashed) from the drop-down menu.
- Header Left/Right Padding: Set the left and right padding (e.g., 2px, 2em).
- Header Top/Bottom Padding: Set the top and bottom padding (e.g., 2px, 2em).
- Header Top Margin: Set the top margin (e.g., 2px, 2em). Leave blank to use the default theme heading styles.
- Header Bottom Margin: Set the bottom margin (e.g., 2px, 2em). Leave blank to use the default theme heading styles.
