How Do I Configure Heading Settings in SoCast?

This guide explains how to create and customize headings and titles using the Header Text element or widget in SoCast. Headings are commonly used to organize sections on a page, such as “Breaking News” or “Social Media.” You can configure custom font styles, colors, borders, spacing, and more.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to: https://admin.socastsrm.com/website/headings
  2. To create a Header Text style for a Title, click Enable under Use Custom Style.
  3. To create a Header Text style for a Heading, click Enable under Use Custom Style. You can create up to three custom heading styles.
  4. After enabling, complete the theme settings for the Title or Heading:
  5. Font: Select a font from the drop-down. This defaults to the Font setting in your theme settings.
  6. Font Size: Choose a size (for example, 24px, 1.5em, 125%). Leave blank to use the default theme heading styles.
  7. Font Color: Use the color picker to select a hex color. This inherits from the Default Text Color in theme settings. Set to “inherit” to use the default color.
  8. Font Alignment: Choose left, center, or right.
  9. Header Background Color: Use the color picker to select a hex color. The default is transparent. Set to “transparent” to use the default.
  10. Header Border Style: Choose none, solid, dotted, or dashed.
  11. Header Left/Right Padding: Set the left and right padding (for example, 2px, 2em).
  12. Header Top/Bottom Padding: Set the top and bottom padding (for example, 2px, 2em).
  13. Header Top Margin: Set the top margin (for example, 2px, 2em). Leave blank to use the default theme heading styles.
  14. Header Bottom Margin: Set the bottom margin (for example, 2px, 2em). Leave blank to use the default theme heading styles.
