Moderating Blog Posts

You can moderate blog posts by restricting user permissions so they can only publish to a specific blog category that is not publicly visible on your website. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the SoCast platform.
  2. Navigate to Website > Blog and News.
  3. Create a new blog category (for example, Draft).
  4. Go to Admin > Users.
  5. Edit or create the user(s) you want to restrict.
  6. Under Permissions > Blogs & News, select Manage Posts In Selected Categories.
  7. Select the Draft category.
  8. Click Save to update the permission settings.

Blog Post Moderation Example

Users will only be able to save blog posts to the Draft category. Once you have reviewed the content, you can move the post to a category that appears on your website. Note that users will only be able to see posts in the categories they have permission to access, as well as any uncategorized posts.

Moderating Social Posts

To moderate social posts, instruct users to schedule all posts on the content calendar in advance.

Additionally, ensure that the Manage Other Users’ Posts permission is not enabled for these users in their permission settings.

Social Post Moderation Example

By following these steps, you can effectively moderate both blog and social posts submitted by your users, ensuring all content meets your station’s standards before it goes live.
