How Do I Add Podcasts to My Website Using SoCast?

This article is for users who have an existing podcast hosted on a third-party platform such as Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, or SoundCloud.

Most third-party podcast platforms recommend copying the podcast’s RSS feed and adding it as a source to your website. However, many of these feeds do not include the actual audio content—only a brief description of each episode. Because SoCast’s RSS subscription service reads only standard RSS feeds, we recommend embedding your podcast directly using the platform’s embed code. This ensures your audio content is available and displayed correctly on your website.

Apple Podcasts (iTunes)

Apple Podcasts offers embeddable players for both individual episodes and entire playlists.

  1. Log in to your Apple Podcasts account and visit https://podcasters.apple.com/market.
  2. Copy the embed code for either a single episode or the full playlist.
  3. Add the embed code to your website using the SoCast Raw HTML element.

You can also embed any public podcast by visiting the podcast’s page on Apple Podcasts, clicking the Share icon, and copying the embed code. You can adjust the width and height in the code to fit your website’s layout.

Spotify

Spotify allows you to embed any public podcast show page. Typically, the embed displays only the most recent episode.

  1. Go to the podcast page in Spotify.
  2. Click the three dots (...), select Share, then choose Embed Show.
  3. Copy the embed code.
  4. Add the embed code to your website using the SoCast Raw HTML element.

You can edit the width and height in the embed code to fit your needs.

SoundCloud

SoundCloud podcasts are set up similarly to SoundCloud playlists. You can embed a single podcast episode or an entire playlist.

  1. Go to the public podcast page on SoundCloud and copy the URL from your browser.
  2. In SoCast, use the SoundCloud element and paste the copied URL. This will display the most recent episode on that page.
  3. If your podcast is organized as a playlist, go to the Playlists tab and copy the link for the entire playlist.
