How Do I Create a Poll in SoCast?

Polls are limited to 1,000,000 total votes. After reaching this limit, no new votes will be accepted.
If a user clears their browser history, they may be able to vote more than once.

Follow these steps to create a poll. You can then add it to a page, blog, or contest.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Navigate to Website > Content Elements > Polls.
2. Click Add New Poll, then complete the fields:
   1. Title: Enter the name of your poll.
   2. Description: Add a description and/or media for your poll.
   3. Poll Option Type: Use the drop-down menu to select one of the following:
      1. Standard: Basic text options.
      2. Image: Add an image to each option/label.
      3. Video: Add a video to each option/label.

      All media attached to poll options will be displayed in a standard 16:9 crop for uniformity and readability.

   4. Add Poll Option: Enter the options/labels for your poll (e.g., Yes, No, Maybe). To add more options, click Add Poll Option.
   5. Start Date: Use the calendar to select the start date and time for your poll.
   6. End Date: Use the calendar to select the end date and time for your poll.
   7. Poll Group: Add this poll to a poll group by:
      • Selecting from the most used poll groups,
      • Using auto-fill if the poll group already exists, or
      • Typing a new poll group name in the Poll Groups box and clicking Add.
3. Click Save to create your poll.
