Suggestions to Improve Image Searchability in Search Engines

  1. Navigate to Website > Media Library.
  2. Click on the image you want to update.
  3. Title: Use keywords that are accurate, relevant to the image, and easy to search for.
  4. Alternative Text: Enter descriptive text that will appear when the image is hovered over. This text is also saved with the image and helps with accessibility and search engine optimization.
  5. Caption:
    • If you are using images from the SoCast Stock Image Library (Flickr), leave the caption field for copyright credit.
    • If you are using a non-stock image, include a caption that is relevant to the image.
  6. Description: Add a brief description (135–160 characters) that will appear in image search engines.
