How Do I Reset a Staff Member's Password in SoCast?

  • Applicable to all SoCast themes.

These instructions explain how to reset a staff member's password in SoCast. Each client creates their own permission groups, so there may be exceptions. Generally, most brands or stations will have an admin with the ability to reset staff passwords. If you are not an admin and do not have access to reset staff passwords, please contact your brand or station admin. If you are unable to reach your admin, please contact the SoCast Support Desk for assistance.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log in to admin.socastsrm.com.
  2. In the top right corner, select Admin.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select Users.

  4. Click on the All Users tab.

  5. Search for the staff member who needs their password reset.
  6. Click the Reset Password button.

  7. You should see a message: Password reset, email has been sent.

  8. Alternatively, you can click the pencil icon under the Actions tab next to the staff member's name.

  9. You will now see this staff member's information.
  10. Scroll down to the Password section.
  11. Click the Reset Password button.

  12. You should see a message: Password reset, email has been sent.

  13. The staff member will now receive an email informing them that their password has been reset. The email will prompt them to log in to admin.socastsrm.com and change their password if they wish.
