These are the instructions for setting up your mobile app's promo screen. The promo screen is the 2nd image that is seen when your app is opened by your listeners/members. Generally a splash image is first (i.e a station logo) followed by the promo image.
Notes:
Cropping is not available due to the fact that it is difficult to provide an asset that can work across different (and in some cases extreme variabilities in) screen sizes/ratios, especially since there are increasingly more screens to support over time.
The uploaded promo screen is currently resized to fit the screen. This is to ensure that all critical content in the promo screen is always visible and readable across devices. As a result, empty space above/below or to the left/right of the promo screen appears when the image size/ratio does not match the device screen size/ratio exactly.
For best results, the image should be sized according to what the most popular device screens are based on your own app analytics for your particular user base demographics.
Currently the Samsung Galaxy S23 is the largest device screen on the market (out of the popular devices) and has similar specifications to the Google Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 15 Plus.
