Bitly is a free service that allows you to create up to 10,000 total short URLs (bitlinks), up to 500 branded bitlinks, and it provides a 30-day tracking view. Additional plans are available for purchase through Bitly if you require more capacity or features.

Step-by-Step Guide

Use Case Example: Tracking Feature Rotator Image Clicks

  1. Go to admin.socastsrm.com.
  2. Select Website → Feature Rotator.
  3. Select the Feature Rotator you want to add tracking links to, or add a new Feature Rotator.

  4. Once images have been uploaded and destination URLs added to each image, copy the destination URL you want to track.

  5. Using the Bitly dashboard or Chrome browser extension, click Create Bitlink.

  6. Paste the destination URL for the Feature Rotator image into the Paste Long URL box.

  7. Customize your Bitly short URL if desired, then copy the Bitly short URL.

  8. Back in the SoCast Admin Panel, paste your newly created Bitly short URL into the URL box of the Feature Rotator image.

  9. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  10. User clicks will now be tracked and visible in your Bitly dashboard.
