How Do I Troubleshoot Facebook Posts Not Appearing In The SoCast Engage Activity Stream?

  1. Verify Admin Access: Log into Facebook.com and confirm that you are listed as an Admin under the page roles for the Facebook Page you wish to add to the Activity Stream. If you are not listed as an Admin, you won’t be able to connect that Facebook Page to your social settings or activity stream.
  2. Check Social Settings: In SoCast Engage, go to Social > Social Settings and confirm you can see the Facebook Page in your settings that should appear in the Activity Stream. If you don’t see it, refer back to Step 1.
  3. Reconnect Facebook: Click the Reconnect Facebook button or remove your Facebook account and re-add it.
  4. Update Activity Stream: Navigate to Social > Activity Streams > All Activity Streams. Select the Activity Stream that is not updating, and remove and re-add the Facebook Page. If you’re unable to do this, it means you don’t have the necessary permissions—refer back to Steps 1 and 2.
  5. Refresh Settings and Post: Once you’ve refreshed your Facebook settings and/or the Activity Stream, post to the Facebook Page. Wait about 10 minutes for the cache to clear, and you should then see your Facebook post reflected in the Activity Stream.

Things to note:

  • Sponsored or paid posts do not appear in the activity stream.
  • The Facebook Page must be set to public without any restrictions; otherwise, it won’t appear.
  • Posts shared from other Facebook Pages will not appear in the activity stream.
