How Do I Use The Stock Image Library In SoCast?

Important Notes
- Stock images can only be used if the author is properly attributed. Attribution is automatically added in the caption field and will be inserted with featured images, header images, and single images added to pages or blogs. For all other pages, please manually include the attribution caption. SoCast does not recommend downloading these images to your computer.
- If you use a stock image in other areas of your website, such as a feature rotator, the image must also be used on the destination page, contest, or blog that the feature rotator links to, and it must be properly credited. For more information, please see: https://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
Follow these steps to access and add a stock library image to a blog post:
Step-By-Step Guide
- Log in at: Admin.socastsrm.com
- Go to Website > Blog & News.
- Create a new blog post.
- After adding your blog content, click Set Featured Image.

- In the media pop-up window, click the Stock Image link at the top.

- In the stock image window, use the search box to enter keywords for the image you need, then click Search.

- Image results matching your search will appear.

- To use an image, click Select.
- The selected image will now appear in the Edit Image window.

- You may edit the title, caption, and add media categories as needed.
- The photo credit is automatically filled in the caption field.
- If you edit the caption, ensure the auto-filled photo credit from Flickr remains for legal purposes.
- When you are finished editing, click Select.
- The image will now appear under Featured Image.

- You can crop the image using the blog cropping tools. Once finished, click Publish.

- Your featured image will display with the auto-filled photo credit/caption in your blog post. It will also be added to the media library.
