How Does The Cancellation Listing Contributor Option Work?

How Does The Cancellation Listing Contributor Option Work?

You must have the 'Manage Local Listings & Cancellation Listings Settings Permission.
Please reach out to your Company Admin if you require permission.

One of the biggest requests we received was the ability to allow the community to contribute to and monitor their own listings. So within each cancellation listing, there is an option to invite a contributor to become the author of the listing.

As an author, the contributor can make changes or delete the listing. The contributor is sent an invitation email with instructions on how to manage this listing. This feature would be ideal for a school admin, business owner etc.

The contributor will receive a temporary password to the email you've added, with access to the CMS portal in order to manage the cancellation listing.

Contributors can manage more than 1 listing at a time. Only one author can be set for each Cancellation Listing.

Step-By-Step Guide (Contributor)

  1. Once a Contributor has been added to a listing, please have them check their email (this may go to the spam or junk folder) as it contains their temporary login credentials.
  2. They should click on the link in the email, which will redirect them to the cancellation listing post.
  3. Once logged in, they can edit the "Status" (e.g., 'Closed') or the listing details.
  4. They should then click "Save" to save the modifications to the listing.

Invitation Email Template

When a new contributor is added, an email will be sent to the contributor containing instructions. This is the email template received by contributors:
