How To Handle "Invalid Data Safety" Notices For Google Play & Android Apps

Requirements:

  1. Access to your company’s Google Play Console Account is needed
  1. Open your Google Play Console (Log into your Google Play account)
  2. On the left, Scroll down to "App content"
  3. Then Data safety > Manage
  4. Overview click next
  5. Answer the questions (then next):
    • Does your app collect or share any of the required user data types? Mark as "yes"
    • Is all of the user data collected by your app encrypted in transit? Mark as "yes"
    • Do you provide a way for users to request that their data is deleted? Mark as "yes"
  6. Go to "Device or Other IDs" and check it, then click "next"
  7. Check Device or other IDs and manage it
  8. Answer the questions
    • Is this data collected, shared, or both? Answer "Collected"
    • Is this data processed ephemerally? Answer "yes"
    • Is this data required for your app, or can users choose whether it's collected? Answer "Users can choose whether this data is collected"
    • Why is this user data collected? Check off "App Functionality"
  9. Save
  10. Click next and save
  11. App will be put in "review" and then approved and released by the Google Play team.
