SoCast uses Google to validate postal codes during member sign-up. When a new postal code is introduced, it may take some time before it is recognized by Google. During this period, users with a newly created postal code may not be able to sign up using that code.
To ensure a smooth sign-up experience, SoCast automatically provides a fallback option. If a postal code is not recognized, the system prompts the user to select their Province instead. Once the Province is selected, users can complete the sign-up process without needing a valid postal code.
This approach ensures that all users can register, even if their postal code is not yet available in Google’s database.
