How Do I Set Up a Player Skin in SoCast?

  • Applicable to all themes
  • Settings below are based on the "Basic Music" skin
  • Available skins include: Basic, Basic Music, and Music 1.0

Note: Note The Radioplayer skin and Music 1.0 skin are not available for multi-tenant clients.

Navigation

Go to Player > Radio Stream Settings (add a stream) > Edit Skin.

Skin Selector

  1. Choose the overall player skin you want to use from the drop-down menu.
    Note: The Premium 1.0 skin is available at an additional cost. If you are interested, please contact support@socastdigital.com.

Appearance

  1. Player Logo: Set the station logo that appears on the player. The image must be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format and measure 220px by 50px. If not provided, your account logo will be used.
  2. Default Font: Select a default font for the player.
  3. Text Color: Use hex color values to select a default color for text and icons.
  4. Highlight Color: Use hex color values to select a highlight color for the player.
  5. Player Area Background Color: Use hex color values to select a background color for the player area.
  6. Site Background Color: Use hex color values to select a background color for the player site.

Song Display

Set the images that will display if album art is not available from iTunes:

  1. Last Played Placeholder Image: The image must be a JPG, PNG, or GIF and exactly 100px by 100px.
  2. Placeholder Background Color: If no image is selected above, this solid color will display. It will also appear behind images that are not the correct aspect ratio or size.
  3. iTunes Affiliate ID: Add your iTunes affiliate ID to earn a percentage of sales if users purchase singles or albums from iTunes via your site. For more information about the iTunes affiliate program, visit Apple's Affiliate Program.
  1. Enter the URLs for your social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, YouTube, and Instagram). If a field is left blank, the corresponding social icon will not display on the player.

By following these steps, you can customize your player skin to match your station’s branding and enhance your listeners’ experience.
