How Do I Add My Radio Stream in SoCast?

Important Notes
- You can typically use the same raw stream URL for both your mobile app and desktop player. Some clients choose separate stream URLs for tracking and reporting with their streaming provider.
- All audio streams must be secure and use the HTTPS protocol.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Go to: http://admin.socastsrm.com/player
Player Streams: Configure the settings for your stream.
- Single-Tenant: Configure your stream settings as needed.
- Multi-Tenant: Configure the settings for each stream. You can drag to reorder the display of streams in the player. To add more streams, contact your SoCast client service representative.

- Add Stream: Click the blue Add Stream button to add a new stream.
- Stream Information: Enter your station’s details:
- Name: Enter your station’s name (max 25 characters, for example, CFMI Rock 101). This is required and is also used as the station name in the mobile app (for News & Multi-Tenant configurations).
- Call Letters: Enter your station’s call letters. This is required.

Stream Formats (Web): The SoCast player supports three streaming formats: AAC Audio, MP3 Audio, and M3U8. The player will automatically select the best format based on the listener’s browser. If possible, provide all three URLs from your streaming provider:
- AAC Audio Stream URL: Supports AAC format directly or within an M3U playlist or Shoutcast PLS wrapper.
- MP3 Audio Stream URL: Supports MP3 format directly or within an M3U playlist or Shoutcast PLS wrapper.
- M3U8 Audio Stream URL: Supports MP3 or AAC formats using the HLS streaming protocol within an M3U8 wrapper.

Stream Formats (Mobile App): These fields are required only if you have the mobile app. If not, you can skip this section. Ask your streaming provider for:
- iOS Audio Stream URL: Supports raw AAC or MP3 format streams as a direct URL or in an M3U playlist or Shoutcast PLS wrapper. M3U8 streams are not supported. Must be iOS compatible.
- Android Audio Stream URL: Supports raw AAC or MP3 format streams as a direct URL or in an M3U playlist or Shoutcast PLS wrapper. M3U8 streams are not supported. Must be Android compatible.

Stream Selection Display: Configure how your streams will appear to listeners.
- Square Logo: Appears in the stream selection list for the SoCast web player and mobile app, and in the main display area of the mobile app navigation menu when the stream is selected.
- Max size: 300 px by 300 px
- Format: PNG with transparent background
- If not provided, the account logo will be used

- Horizontal Logo: Appears in the branding bar for the mobile app when the stream is selected.
- Max size: 315 px by 100 px
- Format: PNG with transparent background
- If not provided, the square logo will be used

- Genre: (max 35 characters) Appears in the stream selection list for the SoCast web player and mobile app, and in the main display area of the mobile app navigation menu when the stream is selected.

Click Save to apply your changes.
