Why Use Polls?
Adding a poll to your website helps you better understand your audience and the content they enjoy. Polls encourage conversation and engagement, and the results can inspire future blogs, social posts, and more.
How to Add the Poll Element
- Navigate to the page, blog, contest, or sidebar where you want to add the poll.
- Enter a title in the title field.
- In the Drag-and-Drop Editor, click the Add Widget button.
- Select the Poll widget from the grid selection window.
- Configure the poll settings:
- Widget Title: The name of the element in the editor (not shown on the website).
- Display Title: Choose "Yes" to display a title on your site, or "No" to hide it.
- Poll Group or Poll: Select a specific poll or a poll group from the dropdown menu. Note: When you add a poll group, only one poll from the group will display at a time, rotating randomly each time the page is refreshed. Only active polls will be shown.
- Results Label Format: Choose how poll results are displayed:
- Percentage: (Default) Shows votes as percentages (e.g., Yes = 49%, No = 51%).
- Number of Votes: Shows the actual number of votes (e.g., Yes = 5, No = 4).
- None: Hides vote counts and percentages, showing only the poll and options.
- Display 'Show Results' Button: Select "Yes" or "No". Choosing "No" hides the button so results are only visible after voting.
- Minimum Column Width (for Polls with Media Answers): Set in pixels. Use 0 for a single column. The minimum width determines how many columns display based on the content area or screen size. For example, if set to 300, the poll displays in two columns on a 700px-wide area and one column on a 320px mobile screen.
- Extra Class Name: Add a custom class name for CSS styling if you want to style this poll differently.
- Click Save Changes.
- Click Save to publish your changes.
