Who Is This Article For?
- Company or Cluster Admins setting up a blog syndication workflow
- Applicable to: All Themes
Instructions for the Creating/Originating Website
- Choose one station to be responsible for creating content (for example, Radio 100.1). This could include news articles, music blogs, and more. If you want to share articles from both a news and a music station, that’s fine as well.
- Once you have chosen the originating website(s), navigate to Website > Blogs > Blog Categories.
- In Blog Categories, create new categories specifically for syndication. Clearly label these so you can easily identify which station the content is coming from. Example category names:
- Local News (Syndicated)
- Local News (Syndicated From Radio 100.1)
- Local News (Radio 100.1)
- Fill in the rest of the category details as you normally would.
Instructions for the Destination/Consuming Website
- Go to Website > RSS Subscription Settings > Sources. Add the syndicated categories you created above as sources. For more information, see our article on Sources.
- After adding the sources (syndicated blog categories), go to Website > Blogs > Blog Categories.
- You should now see the syndicated blog categories listed (for example, “Local News (Syndicated From Radio 100.1)” or a category prefixed with “-Syndicated From Radio 100.1”).
- When configuring your blog widget, you can select these syndicated blog categories to display their content.
- If you go to Website > Blogs > Blog Posts, syndicated blogs will appear with a “syndicated” label under the “author” section.
