The Listing Location settings allow you to configure the categories and subcategories that can be applied to your local listings. This helps organize your listings by city, town, or neighborhood, making them easier for your audience to find.
Step-by-Step Guide to Listing Locations
- Name: Enter the name of the city, town, or location. For example, if your station is in New York City, you might create locations such as Manhattan, Harlem, Greenwich Village, and Chelsea.
- Slug: The slug is the URL-friendly version of the name. It should be all lowercase and contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens (e.g.,
greenwich-village
).
- Parent Location: Assign a parent term to create a hierarchy. For example, New York City would be the parent location for Manhattan, Harlem, etc.
- Description: Enter a description for the city or location. While the description is not prominently displayed by default, some themes may show it.

Following these steps will help you efficiently organize and manage your local listings, making it easier for your audience to discover relevant locations on your website.
