The following file formats are accepted: JPG, PNG, GIF, or HTML5. 

Optimal file size: 150 KB

Creative must be high resolution (The creative must be a minimum of 72 pixels per inch and is recommended to be 144 pixels per inch).

Facebook/Instagram Specs: 

  1. 1200x628px (Facebook Placements)
  2. 1080x1080px (Instagram/Facebook Placements)
  3. 1080x1920 (Instagram/Facebook Stories & Reels)
  4. Image Format: JPG or PNG

    Ad Text Requirements:

  6. Primary Text (required) - 125 characters recommended (up to 1,000)
  7. Headline (required) - 40 characters recommended (up to 225) 
  8. Description (optional) - 30 characters recommended (up to 500)

  4. Description (LAN only): 70 characters. Only required if using LinkedIn Audience Network (LAN).

  1. File Type: jpg, png, or gif

Horizontal / Landscape
  1. **Horizontal images will deliver to both desktop and mobile
  2. Minimum: 640 x 360 pixels
  3. Maximum: 7680 x 4320 pixels
  4. Recommended: 1.91:1 - 1200 x 628 pixels

Square
  1. **LinkedIn recommends this aspect ratio for delivery across both desktop and mobile
  2. Minimum: 360 x 360 pixels
  3. Maximum: 4320 x 4320 pixels
  4. Recommended: 1:1 - 1200 x 1200 pixels

Vertical
  1. **LinkedIn recommends this aspect ratio for best performance on CTR on mobile (vertical images do not deliver to desktop)
  2. Minimum: 360 x 640 pixels
  3. Maximum: 2430 x 4320 pixels

    • 15 and 30 seconds recommended
    • Creatives that are not exactly 15 or 30 seconds will experience limited scale
    • 60 seconds maximum
  3. Aspect ratio: 16:9

  4. File format: MP4

  5. File size: 1 GB maximum


Tip: If you’re not sure that your video meets the aspect ratio requirement, check the dimensions and calculate the aspect ratio manually. Divide the first number by the second number. If the result is 1.77, then it meets the 16:9 requirement. For example, if your video's dimensions are 2560x1440 → 2560 / 1440 = 1.77.

Programmatic Audio Specs: 

  • Supported File Formats: OGG, MP3, MP4, WAV, FLAC, AAC. 
  • Companion Banner: 300x250. Format JPG, PNG, GIF. Up to 700 KB
  • API Framework: VAST 2.0+ supported
  • Max File Size: <500MB, smaller is better
  • Bit Rate: Publisher dependent, 128–160 Kbps recommended. Max bit rate supported is 320.

Duration: 15s or 30s recommended.

Sample rate of 44.1kHz
Audio with the wrong sample rate runs the risk of playing at the wrong speed.

Bit rate of 192kbps

Important for good quality audio. Think of bit depth like the resolution of a digital photograph.

Stereo

If your ad has music or sound effects (SFX), it will likely sound crowded in mono. Most music tracks are stereo, and bouncing to a mono file will flatten any spatial mixing on the track. Bouncing in stereo
also allows you to place different components of the ad (music, SFX, VO) in different parts of the sound field for more engaging audio.

Overall loudness: -16 LUFS
Integrated average loudness of -16 LUFS (+/- 1.5 LUFS) and a True Peak limit of -2.0 dBTP. This ensures the ad volume is consistent with content and throughout the ad itself. If listeners feel the need to adjust their volume for an ad, they’re more likely to skip or feel interrupted.
