What Are The YouTube Video Ad Length Options And Costs For Skippable And Non-Skippable Ads?

YouTube offers several video ad formats with different length and cost options:

  • Skippable Ads: These become skippable after 5 seconds and are charged on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) basis.
  • Bumper Ads: These are 6 seconds long, non-skippable, and also CPM based.
  • Non-Skippable Ads (15 seconds): Available for desktop, mobile, or TV, and are CPM based.
  • Non-Skippable Ads (30 seconds): These are more expensive, only shown on TV screens, and are CPM based.
  • Cost Per View Model: Another option where cost per view is counted at the 30-second mark. If the video is shorter than 30 seconds, the view is counted at the full length of the video.

30-second non-skippable ads are only available on TV screens and generally cost more than 15-second non-skippable ads.
