What Are the YouTube Video Ad Length Options and Costs for Skippable and Non-Skippable Ads?
YouTube offers several video ad formats with different length and pricing models:
- Skippable Ads: Viewers can skip after 5 seconds. These are charged on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) basis.
- Bumper Ads: 6-second, non-skippable ads charged on a CPM basis.
- Non-Skippable Ads (15 Seconds): Available on desktop, mobile, and TV; charged on a CPM basis.
- Non-Skippable Ads (30 Seconds): Shown only on TV screens; generally more expensive; charged on a CPM basis.
- Cost-Per-View (CPV) Model: Another option where a view is counted at the 30-second mark. If the video is shorter than 30 seconds, the view is counted at the full length of the video.
30-second non-skippable ads are only available on TV screens and generally cost more than 15-second non-skippable ads.
