How Do I Create a Feature Rotator (Promo Reel) in SoCast Engage?

  1. Log in to SoCast Engage and select the appropriate station account.
  2. From the left taskbar, go to Promotions > Feature Rotators > All Feature Rotators.
  3. Edit the desired rotator (e.g., Home Page Rotator) by clicking the pencil icon. If you need to create a new rotator, select Add New Rotator, enter the required graphic dimensions (recommended: 900px width by 388px height) and a title, then click Save. Return to Feature Rotators and edit the rotator you just created.
  4. Click Add Feature.
  5. You can choose to Import Feature Elements if the content (such as blog posts, events, or contests) already exists in SoCast Engage. Select the desired content to add it to the rotator.
  6. Under Appearance, click Add Media and upload an image (recommended size: 900x388 pixels).
  7. Set the title that will appear below the featured image.
  8. Configure the Content section:
    • To make the rotator clickable, enter the URL where the slide should redirect and choose whether it opens in the current or a new window.
    • If you want to schedule the rotator, set a publish date and an expiry date.
  9. Once all required fields are filled out, click Save again to apply your changes.
  10. The newly added or updated Feature Rotator will appear on the homepage automatically.
Note:  When adding a new feature rotator, the graphic dimensions are 800px width by 450px height by default.
