How Do I Create Companion Ads For The SoCast Player?

2. Those with advertising setup knowledge
3. Those with access to your video pre-roll
   

Companion Ads allow you to bundle video pre-rolls with banner ads in order to increase ad performance and revenue. 

Currently, when our SoCast player plays the video pre-roll, all the banner ads on the player page display an ad that doesn't necessarily relate to the video. 

With this new feature, we've added the ability to link the banner ads with the video pre-roll. For instance, if the video pre-roll is playing an ad for Joe's Auto Shop, then the leaderboard and big box ads on that page will instantly refresh to display a banner ad for Joe's Auto Shop. This will increase the likelihood of listeners clicking on your ads, making them more valuable to your advertisers. 

1. To make this work, first make sure your pre-roll includes a companion ad (supported ads are big box and leaderboard).
   
2. Then simply add a "Companion Ad" widget to the player skin page.
   
3. That companion ad will automatically be linked to the player's video pre-roll.
