Mailchimp's RSS-to-Email feature automatically pulls content from your RSS feed and sends it to your contacts on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. This is a great way to keep your audience updated with new blog posts from a specific category.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a signup form for your website. Learn how to create a signup form here: Add a Signup Form to Your Website.
  2. Embed the signup form on your website. We recommend creating a VIP or Members page that explains the benefits of signing up.
  3. Create a new page for your signup form. Instructions are available here: How Do I Build a Page for My Website?
  4. Wait for signups. Once you start seeing signups in Mailchimp, you are ready to send notifications for new blog posts.
  5. Ensure you have a blog category created in SoCast. Learn how to create a blog category here: Blog Categories.
  6. Find your blog category RSS feed URL.
  7. Go to Website > Blogs > News Aggregation in your SoCast dashboard.
  8. Scroll down to Flipboard and copy the blog category RSS URL listed in the table under "Category RSS".
  9. The RSS feed URL will look similar to this: https://radiostation.com/category/breaking-news/feed
  10. Set up your RSS-to-Email campaign in Mailchimp. Go to Mailchimp RSS-to-Email and log in to your account.
  11. Enter your campaign name (we suggest using the blog category name) and select your audience. This audience should be the one from the signup form you created earlier.
  12. Add your RSS feed URL and choose when you want your posts to be sent (daily, weekly, or monthly). We recommend selecting the option to "resize RSS feed images to fit template."
