Why Don't Minor Edits To Syndicated Blog Posts Update On Destination Sites In SoCast Engage?

When blog posts are syndicated to destination sites in SoCast Engage via RSS feed, making minor changes (such as adding or removing spaces or punctuation) to the original post will not necessarily update the syndicated version on the destination sites. Articles are only refreshed if the RSS feed itself includes the updated content. If the RSS feed does not contain the updated article, the changes will not be reflected on the destination site. Additionally, if an article has been manually overridden on the destination site, it will not be updated by changes from the RSS feed unless the feed itself is updated with the new content.

To ensure updates appear on destination sites:

  • Make sure the RSS feed from the source site contains the updated content.
  • Do not manually override the syndicated article on the destination site if you want it to update automatically from the feed.
