Requirements

  • Your station or brand must have purchased the SoCast Mobile App package.
  • You must have the Cut ID provided by your station automation software.
  • Ad Sync must be enabled by your SoCast Account Manager.
  • You must have the necessary permissions granted by your SoCast Account Manager.

Before You Begin

Please ensure that Ad Sync is set up on your account by speaking with your SoCast Account Manager before proceeding. Currently, our Ad Sync platform only works with data sent by TRE. If you do not use TRE, or if you are unable to send playlist and ad data in the same format as TRE, please contact your Account Manager to discuss possible customization options.

How to Enter Category IDs for Commercials and Playlists

  1. Go to Settings > On Air Playlist.
  2. On Air Playlist Settings
  3. Enter the category IDs in the Sync Category Names section of these settings.
  4. Sync Category Names
  5. The category names are necessary because, without them, SoCast will not be able to differentiate between songs and ads. If you do not have this information, please ask your station engineer to contact your playlist provider for the category IDs for commercials and songs/music. These are usually three-letter strings.
  6. Click Save:
