How Do Sidebars Work in SoCast Engage Theme 3.0 Compared to Theme 2.0?

In SoCast Engage, sidebars function differently in Theme 3.0 compared to Theme 2.0:

  • Theme 2.0: The sidebar is a separate element with its own padding and background color, allowing for more distinct visual separation from the main content area.
  • Theme 3.0: The sidebar is contained within the main content area, rather than being a separate element. This means that default padding and background color options for the sidebar are not available in the same way as in Theme 2.0. The appearance of widgets and sidebar content may differ, and the sidebar may visually blend with the main content area.

While you can still add and manage sidebars in Theme 3.0, some customization options (such as sidebar padding and background color) are no longer available through the editor. However, Theme 3.0 offers more flexibility for custom CSS, allowing you to further style your site as needed.
