How Do I Announce a Contest Winner in SoCast (Legacy Promotions)?

Requirements

• If you have transitioned to SoCast via PromoSuite, you will not have access to the contesting feature. Please contact PromoSuite for more details.

Follow these steps to announce a winner for your promotion or contest.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Hover over Promotions in the menu bar and click Contests.
2. Go to the User Entries tab.
3. Use the filter drop-down and select Approved Entries. Here you will see all entries that were approved during the judging or voting phase.
4. If choosing the winner manually: Select the checkmark beside the user you want to win the prize. Winners selected from judging must be confirmed before they are posted to the website.

   

5. Click the blue Announce Winners button.
6. Winners will be announced publicly on the website at the scheduled time.

   

7. If choosing the winner randomly: Do not select the checkmark beside any users in Approved Entries.
8. During the Judging phase, two buttons will appear:
   1. Choose Winners
   2. Randomly Choose (X) Entries
9. Click the blue Randomly Choose (X) Entries button. This will randomly select a winner from the approved entries.

   

10. A pop-up window will confirm that winners have been randomly selected.

    

11. Click the Announce Winners button.

    

12. A pop-up window will ask you to confirm that you want to announce winners on the website. Click OK.

    

13. Winners will be announced publicly on the website at the scheduled time.
