How do I Moderate Social Conversations?

This Article Is For:

  • All users who have the 'Manage Accounts' permission & the 'Manage Activity Streams Conversation' permission
  • This is applicable to: All Themes

Note:

  • Moderation is strictly to approve or reject messages in the activity stream.
  • All original messages outside of the activity stream from Facebook or Twitter are not deleted or hidden when rejected and will still be posted to the native Facebook or Twitter feeds regardless of the moderation status set in the SoCast admin

These are the instructions for moderating social comments/conversations.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to: http://admin.socastsrm.com/feedComment (Website>Activity Stream Conversations)
  2. Click on the 'Social' tab
  3. User : This will display the member profile image and name of the person leaving the comment.
  4. Message : The message left by the user
  5. Source : Displays the source of where the comment came from. (ex. Twitter #SoCast)
  6. Date Posted : the date the comment was posted. in format: 2015-01-05 5:08 PM (year/month/day)
  7. Actions : Use the 'check-mark' to approve a comment or the circle with an x to reject
  8. Bulk Actions : Bulk approve or reject all comments in the queue by selecting the box beside 'User' at the top and then using the 'bulk actions' drop-down. Click 'apply'.
  9. Status : Filter comments by pending, approved or rejected. Choose from the drop-down menu, then click the grey 'filter' button
  10. More Options : The more options button allows you to filter comments with a more specific query using the options below:
    1. Source: Using the drop-down menu, select a source for the social comments to be filtered by
    2. Attachment : Filter by attachment type. All, none, any type, images only or audio only
    3. Posted Between : Select a date range and time to filter comments by. (ex. posted between 2017-07-27 08:00 and 2017-07-27 09:00)
